PREVENTING ACNE


Acnes may affect people of any age, lifestyle and race. These may be caused due to hormonal levels, skin type, stress, makeup products etc. Whether the medication is synthetic or herbal, it is used to treat the various type of acne. But, the best treatment for preventing acne is to stop it from occurring. Below are some useful tips to help prevent acne:

  • Try to keep the skin clean. You can use either cleansers or just plain soap and water. It helps to remove the excess dirt, oil and sweat, which would then clog the skin pores causing pimples. But, excess washing must be avoided as it would removes the natural oils essential, to avoid skin irritation.
    Gentle soaps or acne cleansers can also be used to prevent acne, these can be obtained from over-the-counter.
  • Never prick the pimples. Even though, you tend to remove these, instead the infectious pus pushes the bacteria deeper into the skin and causes irritation around the area. A skin toner should be used for dealing with the pimples.
  • Avoid stressful situations, this prevents acne breakouts. Sufficient rest and proper eating would keep ones mind healthy.
  • For avoiding back and chest acne, always wear loose clothing. Tight clothing increases the acne breakouts, as it traps the sweat close to the skin, which leads to clogging of skin pores.
  • Always eat Nutritious Foods. Even though eating greasy and sugary foods would not cause acne, but it is essential to keep the body and skin healthy by eating nutritious foods. Regularly eat fresh fruit and vegetables, multi-vitamins, reduce high-glycemic foods, avoid processed foods and refined sugars., and drink plenty of water.
  • These tips are considered to be the general one. Depending upon one’s skin type, some tips may be more important than others. If these tips do not work, then one must seek medical attention.
